We thank the following artists for their generous donations to this year's events.
Beau Bilenki
Beau is one of the founding members of FireArts and is known for his contemporary interpretation of classical forms. He explores alternate firing methods for his pieces, as well as using alternate media to create his shapes.
James Allen French
A multi-award winning fine art nature photographer, French is known for his stunning images. His goal is to capture "orderly chaos" by framing his subjects in a way that showcases their clarity of form. His subjects range from grand panoramas to micro-landscapes. The result is both rejuvenating and peaceful.
Tori James
James' work is not made from found materials; rather, it's made from unearthed shards. Tori has used metal detectors to find her shards since 1998. She calls herself a "treasure hunter" who was "probably a pirate in a previous life," and she most enjoys giving new life to these relic materials.
Michelle Juszkiewicz
Michelle, a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, has primarily worked with oil on canvas. However, she has also experimented with ceramics and found materials. She draws her influence from her upbringing in Northwestern Indiana and pop art.
Jan Reineke, M.D.
Retired from a successful practice as an obstetrician, Jan has been throwing pottery for years. He comes from a family of craftsmen; his grandfather was a carpenter and woodcarver from the globally known furniture making hub of Central Indiana.
